XWiki Enterprise Manager 1.3 Release Candidate 1 Released

First release candidate of the XWiki Enterprise Manager 1.3 version (Roadmap). 

Main changes:

  • Upgrade XE/Core dependency from 1.4.1 to 1.5
  • Improve wiki descriptor editor

XWiki Enterprise 1.5 Released

This release spanned a bit more than 2 months starting on the 16th of May 2008 and ending on the 23th of July 2008. During that period we implemented 166 issues, fixing 91 bugs and adding new features such as:

  • Brand new Administration Application (see http://tinyurl.com/4qym7w)
  • The copy page feature is now available from the top menu (Actions > Copy)
  • An administrator can modify a user profile or password when visiting a user profile page
  • A message advising to install xwiki-enterprise-wiki is displayed in the importer when the wiki is empty
  • Universal Edit button support (see http://universaleditbutton.org/)
  • Lot of improvements in the LDAP authenticator
  • New Croatian translation
  • New Czech translation
  • Updated French translation
  • Updated Spanish translation
  • Updated German translation

XWiki Enterprise 1.5 Release Candidate 2 Released

Second release candidate of the XWiki Enterprise 1.5 version (Roadmap). 

Main changes:

  • Updated German translations
  • Any user with admin rights on a space can use the Panel Wizard
  • A message advising to install xwiki-enterprise-wiki is displayed in the importer when the wiki is empty

XWiki Watch 1.0 released!

The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki Watch 1.0.

XWiki Watch is a collaborative watch tool built on top of the XWiki Enterprise, using RSS feeds as the data source. From its features we can mention data collecting from RSS feeds, enriching and filtering content in collaborative manner and publishing the results in various formats, all these from a rich RSS reader interface, as well as standard wiki access to this data.

XWiki Watch 1.0 release candidate 2 released!

The XWiki development team is pleased to announce the release of XWiki Watch 1.0 RC 2.

This is the second and hopefully the last release candidate for the 1.0 version. It fixes several bugs, notably the ones regarding skin and browser compatibility. The final release is planned for the next week. Changes from 1.0RC1:

  • Inconsistencies caused by feed renaming are now all fixed (XWATCH-122, XWATCH-158, XWATCH-175, XWATCH-173)
  • XWiki Watch is now fully compatible with the toucan skin (XWATCH-113)
  • Performance has been improved and bugs have been fixed for uniform usage across browsers (XWATCH-161, XWATCH-167, XWATCH-172)
  • Various bug fixes and improvements: (XWATCH-143, XWATCH-170, XWATCH-171)

XWiki Enterprise 1.5 Release Candidate 1 Released

First release candidate of the XWiki Enterprise 1.5 version (Roadmap). 

Main changes:

  • Updated french translation
  • Updated spanish translation
  • LDAP authenticator no longer creates a local user if it exists at the global level
  • Mail sender plugin now supports SMTP authentication
  • Arguments passed to radeox macros like or null are not rendered anymore
  • UTF-8 characters are now all correctly rendered in PDF exports
  • Statistics database mapping working well under oracle
